We're all well aware that particle accelerator cannons (PAC) simply perform better at lower fire rates, taking into consideration the astronomical accuracy drop with any charge time less than 10. This makes charge time relatively irrelevant and takes away the potential of PAC as optionally rapid fire weapons. My solution is an APS-style RPM limit bar slider that can convert shotgunning PAC streams at lower fire rates to single shots at higher fire rates.
For example we might have a 10 second reload PAC with two terminator tubes. This would, by default fire two streams every 10 seconds, but with the proposed RPM limit set to 12, it would fire a single stream every 5 seconds at the same accuracy and damage as a 10 second charged stream.
I do hope this idea is taken into consideration and would like to hear a developer response as to why or why not this should be implemented.
