So after the 2.0 update totally messed up all my designs. I looked at the wings and noticed the amount of lift they create and I thought, did that number get higher? Is that why my bomber flies up at almost a 90 degree angle while it's nose still perfectly faces forward? So for a long time I was making adjustments to try and fix my bomber wondering why that was changed and what else they changed.
I decided to start working on a new bomber design and as I was doing so, I thought, why do we only have 1 type of wing? The size and shape of wings for aircraft in real life is very different depending on what kind of aircraft it is and what it's role is. So why do we only have the 1 wing part. I think we should have at least 3 types of wing parts, and maybe even the aileron, tailplane, aero elevator and aero rudder to go with it. Just like how we have 3 missile sizes now I think there should be 3 wing types. The first being the sharp wing. This wing would be like the wing of an F-104 Starfighter. It would have a very sharp leading edge and be very thin having the least amount of drag but also giving it the least amount of lift. This wing type would be good for your high speed fighters and interceptors. The 2nd wing type would be just the default wing and would have the medium amount of lift and drag. And the 3rd type would be the thick wings. These type would be like an A-10 Thunderbolt II (a.k.a the warthog's) wings and have a very soft rounded leading edge and would create the max amount of lift but also have the highest amount of drag. These wings would be good for your attack aircraft and big heavy bombers that need more fire power than speed. And if you wanted something in between sharp and normal or normal and thick, you could build your aircraft with a mix of the wing types like in a checkerboard pattern.
